Traditionally in Mexico, the Tres Leches Wedding Cake is preferred for its moisture and delicious texture. Flavored cakes are available in addition to the Tres Leches cake including chocolate, mocha, carrot cake, almond, lemon-poppy seed and more. You can also add fillings such as fresh fruit, raspberry and chocolate, mocha or lemon cream or about anything you would like.

A snow-white wedding cake has been the centerpiece of this part of your wedding ceremony for years; however you should feel free to “liven it up” with colors and flavors that symbolize your union. Mexican wedding cakes usually have at least one layer of “tres leches” (three milks), a wonderfully delicious and moist cake.

Our Playa del Carmen bakery not only decorates a beautiful cake but also makes one of the most delicious cakes we have every tasted – always perfect, never too sweet. For toppings and decorations, we suggest using real flowers, to coordinate with your bridal bouquet or table centerpieces.

Wedding Cake Trends

Shape takes the cake when it comes to modern wedding cake trends. Some popular choices include cakes with round contoured edges; a flower-shaped bottom tier; and hexagonal tiers offset with square layers stacked at odd angles. An icing trend is to wrap a strip of fondant around the bottom of each tier -- opt for a fondant color with an iridescent or metallic sheen to truly bring out your wedding colors. Or, go bold with pop art designs and funky sugar flowers.
